Welcome to a place where nature and luxury are one and the same. Where award winning dining and service beyond measure live in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. This is Cathedral Mountain Lodge. More than a getaway, this is home away from home in Canada’s greatest outdoors, bringing log cabin living and luxury service together to create truly one-of-a-kind experiences beyond expectation.
Cathedral Mountain Lodge is Canadian Rocky Mountain accommodation at its finest. This is the perfect getaway for those looking to unplug. There are no tv’s or phone available to the rooms, as guests are encouraged to step outside and reconnect with nature. Complimentary breakfast is available, as well as daily canoeing on Moraine Lake. Each “room” is a full cabin with the option to add luxury items like sparkling wine, a fruit plate, charcuterie board, or chocolate covered strawberries. River rafting, glacier tours, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, and the Lake Louise gondola are all other activities you can take part in during your stay!

My number one weekend getaway also happens to be the furthest (but it’s worth the drive, trust me!). Built of hand-hewn timber and featuring massive stone fireplaces, Emerald Lake Lodge is one of Canada’s most well hidden gems. The lodge includes an elegant dining room, quiet reading and sitting rooms, conference facilities and a games room. The lounge features an oak bar salvaged from a 1890’s-era Yukon saloon. The mountainscape views and the aptly named Emerald Lake it sits on offer the best of both nature worlds. Few destinations in the world offer this unique mix of luxury and nature.
There are a variety of specials offered to guests, including a free night’s stay or bed and breakfast special. Each suite features it’s own stone faced fireplace, and, like the Cathedral Mountain Lodge, encourages you to reconnect with the person you are with, and all the beauty our earth has to offer. The outdoor hot tub is open year round, and is a great way to relax and reconnect with yourself. There are outdoor and indoor activities for you to take part in while staying, regardless of the time of year.
